Hill Top

A scene from Hill Top’s Allentown Juneteenth celebration!

A Diverse Community Serving Pittsburgh’s HilLTOP Neighborhoods…

Hill Top UMC sits on Warrington Avenue in Allentown, just a couple minutes from the South Side and close to Beltzhoover, Knoxville, Mt. Oliver, Arlington, and Mt. Washington. Locally, it is perhaps best known for hosting the Allentown Senior Center, but is a thriving and active church community as well. It is a church that cherishes its diversity, and is always seeking how it might engage in love with the world around it. Hill Top Church has developed a close relationship with businesses and nonprofits in Allentown and the broader Hilltop, and, three years ago, helped spark a new community tradition by beginning a Trunk-or-Treat night that includes businesses up and down Warrington Avenue and welcomes nearly three hundred children each Halloween. Other notable outreach events include a $1 Clothing Sale and neighborhood clean-ups around Earth Day.

If you are interested in reaching out to the community, or just worshiping God in a place that will be delighted to have you, stop by for worship at 10am on Sundays and come as you are. Nursery care and Sunday school are available for kids during the service (and workers are cleared under PA background checks), or they are welcome to stay in worship.

The church is easily accessible by bus, and is handicap accessible through an elevator from the parking lot-level basement.
